Spraying amenity turf is easier and more accurate than ever with
John Deere 's new HD200 SelectSpray machine. This is an upgraded
version of the 750-litre low profile sprayer first introduced in
2003, and is designed for greater flexibility and convenience.
The
HD200 benefits from advanced technology developed in the
company’s market leading range of specialist agricultural
sprayers. It offers a choice of centrifugal or diaphragm pumps,
manual or automatic rate controls and a range of boom options
that now come with electro-hydraulic boom lift and lower as
standard. A common wiring harness allows the control system to
be changed very easily, if required.
The optional
CleanLoad chemical induction system makes it easy to load
chemicals by ensuring that every last drop is used, and a
powerful jet agitator makes sure the tank solution is mixed
thoroughly. An integral tank wash system is standard.
Designed
as an attachment for John Deere’s established 24hp ProGator
utility vehicle, the HD200 can be easily and quickly removed
without tools, allowing customers to use the ProGator for other
applications. An optional storage stand incorporates wheels so
that the demounted sprayer can be easily moved around and
reattached.
The HD200 effectively utilises the whole of
the ProGator’s load space to provide a very low centre of
gravity for stable, efficient spraying on all amenity turf
areas, especially on slopes. The design also provides the
operator with good visibility over the back of the tank to the
durable 14-gauge steel spray boom, which features standard
triple nozzle bodies for increased productivity and ease of use.
A
choice of 5.5m (18ft) or three-way folding 4.6/6.4m (15/21ft)
spray booms is available, complete with a bi-directional safety
breakaway system. The boom operates at up to 50cm above ground
level and at ground speeds of up to 10mph.
Individual
boom sections can be selected as required, and boom height can
be adjusted manually if necessary. The sprayer also now comes as
standard with a throttling valve to deliver constant pressure no
matter how many boom sections are operating at any one time.
In
addition to the main tank, the sprayer features a 75 litre rinse
tank, operator clean water tank and clothing boxes, plus foam
marker and chemical tanks. Options include a 60m (197ft) hose
reel and spray gun.
